Paving Crew
Our paving and grading crews have a combined 105 years in the paving business and are second to none in their respective skills. Chagrin Valley Paving employs a paving crew with a minimum of 7 members who have worked together as a team for over 10 years. This “teamwork philosophy” allows for team members to rely on each other and ensures the quality of the project. After the layout for the pavement is prepared by the grading crew, the paving crew installs the specified asphalt layers as per the specifications provided. The paving crew divides the work among themselves with one crew member working on a roller to compact the asphalt to required compaction, four members handling the raking & hand tamping, and two machine operators operating the paver. The team is optimized to give the best performance by switching positions through out the long strenuous paving day.
